Terms & Conditions
By proceeding to pay a booking fee, you accept that you are entering into a contract and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Minimum booking requirement
Unless otherwise agreed, my bridal hair service requires styling for three or more adults on the day, one of whom must be the bride. This is non-negotiable. The full price will still be charged even if not all services are required on the day or if cancellations are made later.
Booking fee and payments
A non-refundable payment of £80 is required to secure your booking and covers the cost of all administration.
The booking fee will be deducted from the final balance but does not contribute towards the cost of a trial. Trial fees must be paid 24 hours before the trial by bank transfer. The final invoice will be calculated after your hair trial. At that point, 50% of the total invoice will be due one week after the trial, with the remaining balance due one week before the wedding, also by bank transfer. If payment is not received, I reserve the right to cancel all services booked for your wedding date, and all fees will remain payable.
Sundays & Bank Holidays
Sundays and bank holidays incur a surcharge of £50.
Travel expenses
UK travel expenses are included for the first ten-mile radius from CT5 2NZ. Thereafter, mileage is charged at 60p per mile (return journey), plus any tolls or car park charges incurred. You will be expected to cover all costs for hotel accommodation where it is not practical to travel on the day of your wedding (e.g. more than two hours’ travel time, or if severe weather conditions are forecast).
Hair trials
All trials take place at my location in Whitstable, Kent, between 10am and 5pm. Trials are recommended for the bride and are at your discretion for other members of the bridal party. Saturday trials may be available, but please note that weddings take priority and your trial may be rescheduled if a wedding is booked.
Prior notice must be given if you wish to cancel or reschedule your trial. Less than one week's notice will incur the full trial cost. I reserve the right to cancel your trial if a wedding booking is received for the same date. An alternative date will be arranged.
In the unlikely event that you or a member of your bridal party are dissatisfied with the service following the trial, you must contact me within three days so that we can address the matter. Refunds, re-trials, or cancellations without charges are at my sole discretion.
Cancellations
A minimum of two months’ notice is required to cancel your wedding booking. If cancelled after this time, the full amount remains payable by the specified date. If no payment is received, legal action may be taken to recover losses.
If your wedding is cancelled by you or any other party, all payments made to date are non-refundable. Claims for such losses should be made through your wedding insurance. If your wedding is postponed, I will honour the new date and transfer all payments made, subject to availability.
COVID-19
If your wedding cannot go ahead due to COVID-19 and is postponed to a new date, all payments made will be transferred. If I am unable to accommodate the new date, all monies will be refunded, excluding the trial fee (if already completed).
If you choose to postpone due to COVID-19 but I am still legally permitted to work on the original date, a new booking fee of £80 will be required to secure the new date.
In the unlikely event I am unable to attend on the day due to unforeseen circumstances, I will make every effort to find a replacement who will be provided with all notes and trial images. If no replacement can be found, all monies including trial costs will be refunded. No further compensation will be offered.
If I am made to feel uncomfortable, mistreated, or if anyone becomes abusive, violent, or displays offensive behaviour, I reserve the right to cancel the contract without refund.
Potential delays on the day
Refunds will not be given for unforeseen delays beyond my control. Please provide accurate travel instructions. If roadworks, diversions, heavy traffic, or other potential delays are anticipated, please inform me in advance so I can adjust my travel plan accordingly.
If your photographer or videographer requires you to pause for photos or filming during styling, please inform me beforehand, as this may affect preparation timings.
Client obligations – wedding day
A suitable environment must be provided on the day, including a dining or dressing table and chair (a mirror is provided), with nearby electrical sockets for my extension lead. Please ensure all members of your party are aware of the schedule and are punctual and available for styling.
Hair should be washed and blow-dried the night before or on the morning of the wedding. Anyone with wet hair will be expected to dry it thoroughly before styling.
I kindly ask that children or babies are not seated on your lap or around me while your hair is being styled. Hot styling tools are hazardous, and I cannot be held responsible for any injuries.
Photography / Social media
Please inform me in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed for social media or my website. If you share any of my images online, I would appreciate credit via my website or social media links found on it.
